Heads, with the two considered 'twin towns'.

Getting to Coolangatta
McCafferty's has regular buses traveling to Coolangatta from Brisbane, Byron
Bay or Sydney. The buses stop at Golden Gateway Travel on Boundary St which is
just south of the border.
Other bus services to and from Brisbane and Sydney such as Greyhound Pioneer
Australia, Lindsay Coaches and Coachtrans will arrive at and depart from the
Coolangatta Transit Centre terminal.
Activities and Attractions
Coolangatta has a more laid-back atmosphere than the northern parts of the
Gold Coast and has many excellent beaches including popular surfing spots at
Kirra, Point Danger and Greenmount.
Point Danger, in particular, is the headland at the end of the state line and
provides scenic views from the Captain Cook memorial.

It's opening hours are from 8 am to 2 pm and 3 to 4 pm on weekdays, and from
8 am to 3 pm on Saturdays.
