Cape Tribulation - Incredibly Beautiful
About two hours drive north of Cairns you reach the Daintree River Ferry that
takes you into the Cape Tribulation area. After crossing the river it is another
20 miles by road to Cape Tribulation.
The name was given by Captain Cook after his ship ran aground on Endeavour Reef.
Part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, the region from the Daintree River
north to Cape Tribulation is extraordinarily beautiful and famed for its ancient
rainforest, sandy beaches and rugged mountains. It’s one of the few places in
the world where the tropical rainforest meets the reef.
