Cairns - Gateway to the tropical northern region

On the east coast of Australia is the state of Queensland, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Cairns is a modern tropical city, and north of Cairns is a spectacular stretch of coastline with beautiful golden beaches.

Even further north of Cairns is Port Douglas, with miles of sandy beaches and close to tropical rainforests.
